Position Description


The Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW)/Division of Hematology and Oncology, a rapidly growing Division, is seeking Advance Practice Provider candidates for the following positions:


  • Inpatient Day APP (Req no. 26477)
  • Inpatient Day APP – Part time (Req no. 24645)
  • Nocturnist APP (Req no. 25582)
  • Swing shift APP (Req no. 25769)
  • BMT Outpatient APP (Req no. 26607)
  • Head and Neck/Melanoma – Outpatient APP (Req no. 24672)
  • Hematology/Oncology – Outpatient APP – Part time (Req no. 25230)
  • Palliative/Hospice Care – Outpatient APP (Req no. 26191)

Job Requirements:


Education and Experience:

  • Advance Practice Nurse: Master's degree in Nursing. Certification as Adult, Acute Care, Adult-Gerontology, and Family Practice.
  • Physician Assistant: Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Physician Assistant Studies
  • Zero years of experience required. A minimum of 5 Five-year experience as a Physician Assistant/ Nurse Practitioner with at least 1-2 years in a clinic or hospital environment working with chemotherapy, hematology/oncology/BMT patients, and/or palliative and hospice care is preferred.



  • Advance Practice Nurse:
    • Wisconsin RN license and Advance Practice Nurse Prescriber License (or eligible for).
    • Certification as or eligible for Advance Practice Nurse/Clinical Nurse Specialist/Nurse Practitioner
  • Physician Assistant:
    • Wisconsin PA license
    • Certification by NCCPA
  • License from Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).
  • AHA BCLS certification
  • ACLS certification (Inpatient)
