Position Description

We are seeking an experienced PA or NP to join our busy clinical practice within the GW Medical Faculty Associates Division of Rheumatology. Our team excels at providing comprehensive service in the evaluation, diagnosis, treatment and ongoing management of rheumatologic disorders. In addition to providing superior patient care, our team conducts ground-breaking research in myositis, wound healing, autoimmune diseases, health care transitions, immunology, and education. Our mission is to advance the field of rheumatology through interprofessional collaborative practice, person- and family-centered care, hypothesis-driven scientific research, and state-of-the-art training.  In collaboration with physician faculty in the division, the PA or NP will chiefly provide patient care services including screening, diagnosis, management and therapeutic procedures, monitoring for stable and chronic illnesses, and counseling.  

Educational requirements include a master's degree and national certification as a PA or NP. Candidates should hold or be license eligible in the District of Columbia, and preferably the surrounding region (e.g., Maryland). At least two years of prior clinical practice experience as a PA or NP is required, preferably in the rheumatology specialty.
